The Nieland Family Tree Printed

The News has just completed printing the “The Nieland Family Tree”, a 48 page book containing about 2,000 descendants. The history dates back to the year 1740 when John Daniel Nieland was born, Sept. 21, to John Bernard Nieland and Maria Gesina Van der Beck, near Ramsdorf, Germany.

David A. Nieland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nieland, started compiling the data for the book 13 years ago, in 1952. It wasn’t an easy task, tapping resources such as: St. Walburga Catholic Church, Ramsdorf, Germany; St. Bernard Catholic Church, Breda; The Breda News; cemeteries in Carroll County, and the Sac and Carroll County Dept. of Records.

If you are interested in receiving a copy of the Family Tree, we urge you to see David, as soon as possible, because he has only a limited number left.
