Lawrence Henry “Larry” Louis 1939-2009

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO—Larry Louis, 69, of Colorado Springs and formerly of Carroll died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs.

Mass of the Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Drive, Colorado Springs.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at Shrine of Remembrance America the Beautiful Chapel in Colorado Springs.

The family will have a private burial in Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122, Poinsetta Drive, Colorado Springs 80907.

A son of Leon and Leona (Siepker) Louis, he was born April 13, 1939, at Carroll, grew up and graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School here and graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb.

He and Marva O'Tool were married Nov. 24, 1962, at Carroll.

Mr. Louis was a member of Holy Trinity Parish for more than 40 years and enjoyed music - especially guitar and vocals - and golfing.

Survivors include his wife, Marva, of Colorado Springs; five children and their spouses: Mike and Suzanne Louis of Colorado Springs, David Louis and Debbie Cohen of Palmer Lake, Colo., Steve and Debbie Louis of Colorado Springs, Scott and Keegan Louis of Colorado Springs and Kathy and Conrad McCarty of Boulder, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; three brothers and their wives: Jim and Sue Louis of Carroll, Tom and Pat Louis of Carroll and Paul and Connie Louis of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, JoAnn Morrissey, and her husband, Tom, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.

Mr. Louis was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don Louis.
